These will mostly apply to your early career as an Sorceress(up until level 30 or so). We recommend going with either a Blizzard or Frozen Orb Sorc as those are both strong late-game leveling classes with great Magic Find. From then, you should consult the Sorceress Build Guides we've prepared for some of the most popular Sorceress builds. Once the Sorceress has completed the Normal difficulty of the game, there is the option to Reset Skill Points and begin specializing toward the preferred end game build.

That said, if you want to change things up from our build, some players will take a few points from Fire Bolt and put them into Charged Bolt for faster killing in the early game. These will keep you safe and aren't as mana intensive a Lightning-focused build. They can be a bit difficult to actually level once you hit Hell difficulty because you'll start run into monsters with elemental immunities, but in the early game, you can pretty much carry yourself through Normal and some of Nightmare just relying on a few skills: Fire Ball, Fire Bolt, and Teleport.

Sorceresses are actually one of the simpler classes to learn how to level in the early game.
